Greetings...
First of all, welcome to all of the new folks on the list, and thank you to all who gave me an update on your personal lives and your wine preferences. I am really excited to have you on board. Next, my apologies to all of my American and International friends who will have a little harder time finding these BC wines.
Now to the wines...As summer has returned to BC, I wanted to get this out in time for you to enjoy one of these over the weekend.
I must admit I had a hard time finding the Herder Pinot Gris 2007. I finally found it at the Beverley Corners Liquor Store in Duncan. It was worth the effort. A delicious before dinner wine that we enjoyed with snacks on the deck. The honey lemon citrus aromas and flavours really come through. (89/100, $19)

The Sandhill Pinot Gris King Valley Family Vineyard 2007, is, from I can see readily available in BC. This is a delicious fresh and lively wine. The green apple skins and citrus notes are evident front to back. Another great summer sipper. (88/100, $18)

I first tried the Gray Monk Gewürztraminer last year and was so impressed with it that I thought I would give the 2007 vintage a go this year. This vintage may not quite be up to the '06 version, but is still a delightful effort. It was fabulous with crackers and cheese, and fresh cherry (Sweet Million) tomatoes from the garden.
